up to you,
i ride a 60's track frame with goldtec's, cxp33's, sugino 75's, fizik saddle, king headset and a DA post.
that said, it was re-sprayed before i got it
if it's a classic frame, nothing wrong with putting new parts on it, and also being able to put period parts back on as and when you want.
but thats just me. -

modern stuff is often better.
I'm a complete cunt and run carbon forks and threadless headset and stem on an old frame.
because it upsets the purists? not really, but because it rides better.
I still have the original fork for a rainy day (well not a rainy day because threaded headsets and steel forks are shit in wet weather)

I like the mix of old and new. I also have a 60s / 70s (not actually sure) track frame with cxp33s, black sugino 75s and Nitto track drops. But I also have a vintage butchered Brooks and I'm planning on using an old GB spearpoint stem.

The UN should carry around that photo. Any time some world leader / millitant leader starts getting upaty and looking like they are about to massacre /invade someone /where just show them that photo and all would be a peace.

....
Hello all,
what is the general opinion on new parts on old frames? My bike is built up with reasonabley accurate period parts. However I'd much prefer to roll on modern rims and cranks with the option of putting the old bits on for showing off.
Whadyarekon?
