mm.. I'd go through some forum classifieds (Wanted ad here, anothercyclingforum, cyclechat, bikeradar, then Gumtree (some bargains and a lot of crap), preloved, (careful about nicked bikes!) and then Ebay searches for auctions ending soonest and BIN newly listed.. t may take a couple of weeks..
I don't know any shops with good 2nd hand deals? Cash Convertors? What sIze? -

second nod for gumtree. i've never bought a bike from cash converters but i do know they're currently selling a guitar pedal that retails for £15 NEW for £20 USED. i'd stay away from them if i was you.

Hey guys,
Hate to crash an existing thread (and did give'er a search or 10) but wanted a bit of info.
Im a fixer who hails from Sunny Sydney, got the opportunity to crash my brothers flat for Feburary and wanted a cheap way to get around london.
1) Easiest way to get a shitter fixed or freewheel single? Ive built stacks of them in Sydney, but not keen to drag one over with me International. Second hand shops? 'Rent' one from one of you kind folk, buy some shitter fixed from Evans?
2) Riding in feb.. - Fucking cold no?Thoughts/words of advice? Im just looking for something to get around on, 3quid on the tube seems a bit exhorberant when you x2.4 to get aussie dollars!
Thanks guys, nice site you have here.

Check out www.gumtree.com but watch out for stolen bikes, use your discretion and common sense to avoid a 'wrong un'.

hi, I'm currently after a sub 200 quid fixe, has anyone got any experience of or know anyone who's bought from these people?
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/createbikes
I'm sure too good to be true usually is, I'm willing to overlook a few things if the bike ends up being a good runaround, but if it's going to end up being a false economy obviously there's not much point. Any advice appreciated.

thanks a lot, a quick glance on Gumtree turned up about 5 of those things too, suggesting something's not quite right there.
Will keep looking, thanks.
