get quotes for the couriering yourself... if it comes up less than £50 email them and ask that if you buy the bike can you arrange your own courier. If they refuse then you know they were fiddling the postage rates to make a few extra quid.

whole bike are dear to transport. parcelforce should be £30 if the wheels are take off and all packed in close. £50 not unreasonable.

most bikes I see on ebay have postage rates of about £15 - £20.... £50 seems seriously excessive to me.

50 seems steep. i had an almost complete bike (minus saddle, pedals, stem+bars) shipped to me for 15quid. are they spending the extra money on packing the bike damien hirst stylee?

£50 is adding a £20 surcharge on top for their trouble, tell them to poke it.

+1 for parcelforce 48 - done by weight not size of parcel. I've sent 2 bikes both £15 each
what's the cheapest/efficient way to do it?
i'm bidding on an old Puch online for pennies, but it's in lancashire.they said they would post, but wanted to use their local courier which will cost £50. what other options are there? anyone know how much it'll cost with royal mail if it's boxed up?
