  • Hi,

looking for a buyer for the following frame, forks and headset.

1960's Viking Road/Path frame. See below for info on maker.

    http://www.classicrendezvous.com/British_isles/Viking/Viking.htm

Bought off of Dogsballs last week. Built it up and it's a bit too big for me, i can't afford to keep it if i'm not going to ride the damn thing. I'm still trying to move flats and i'm getting rid of stuff anyway, seems like a good time to let it go. Only want back what i paid Dogsballs for it, £180. Now Sold.

    27.2mm Seat tube.
    56cm c-c seat tube.
    56 c-c Top tube.
    Reynolds 531 tubes.
Took 700c's with mudguards though i'm sure it was designed for 27's.
    Nerverx pro lugs all round.
    Track ends.
    Mudguard mounts.
    Track profile fork.
    Viking head badge.

Paint has been touched up and i would say it is about 7/10 ish.

Pictures available, just ask and i'll send them.

    Cheers, Chris

  • Best things ever to come out of Wolverhampton... (except me of course)

  • Best things ever to come out of Wolverhampton... (except me of course)

and the carcinogenic stench of a slow, leaky, midlands death.

  • Why is just signposted 'The North' when coming up from London?

    it's scary.......

  • here are pics

it is one of the most solid track frames that i've seen and would be a great commuter!

  • Cheers DB,

I took some half decent photo's last night but they are on my puter at home, Doh!

    It's a lovely frame, i just can't keep it.

    Chris

  • If you need any further pictures, PM me your email address.

    Cheers, chris

  • Offers?

  • Sell it back to dale.. :-P

  • Sell it back to dale.. :-P

i offered to swap for something smaller, but it was 'too' small. shakes head! :p

  • I'm a particular kind of guy, it's all about the getting the right size.
But DB is right, he offered a different frame, i just thought it might have been a bit short.
Moving flats has put paid to all my idea's of multiple bikes, i'm just not going to have the room.

    Chris

  • Well some one did but i'll make a reasonable loss.

    So...

  • Damn dale! Damn him to hell!

  • Nah..

You pays your money, you take your chance.

  • As with most things... it's worth what people are prepared to pay. I could see that frame going for £220 in BLB if it was put in the window this wknd. I picked up a similar Viking track frame on ebay about 18 months ago for only £35 & built it up for my misses for anther £150 then she went and sold it for £120 : (

ahh well, i'll just hang on to it then. At least there is a loft in the new flat. Expect it full in a couple of months (all being well.)

    ;)

  • hammo,
are you still selling the frame?
could you send me some closer photos.
where about would i have to pick it up anyway?

  • Ooh Poop!

Frame needs to go, i'm looking down both barrels of a new mortgage which isn't as funny as I first thought. I've just had clear out of the frames i've picked up along the way, this is another casualty i'm afraid.

No reasonable offer refused. I'm a, relatively, desperate man.

    Cheers, chris

  • £90 cash

  • £90 cash

    r u retarded??

  • no, why?

  • £90 is a bit of a piss-take offer, mate...

  • no it isn't, its a 'reasonable offer' for a 40 yo frame which was originally purchased off the bay for £99 about 2 months ago. I was offered it for £100 via pm... so no it's not a piss take, thats how bargining works.

Sorry to have offended anyone by making the wrong offer.

How much did you offer for it on ebay db?

  • I will offer £120 and could meet today if you are in London?

    Simon.
