-
• #10

This is the maths on leaving the pub:
Long Hill on a very busy road + fixed wheel + booze + night time = mayhem !

• #12
no need to be alarmist!

The idea of the Flask at the top of Highgate West Hill has also been touted up a couple of times. Then you'd have to earn your beer through 2 mins of sweat and pain ;o)

My local too, walking distance in fact. Which is good cause I don't have a bike just now. I'm travelling back home tomorrow. When I get home tomorrow evening I'll check this thread out, and if it's on I'll come down.
John you and Mike should come. Stay round mine if you want?

Alarmist moi ?!
I am going to be waiting at the roadside with my video gear and tripod to capture stuff for 'Britain's Funniest Fixed Wheel Drunken Wipeouts' on 'Dave'.
£250 a clip, reckon I can retire on the footage I get when you lot drag yourselves out of the pub.
:)
How about somewhere more . . . level ? :)
There is that clump of pubs in Primrose Hill behind the Roundhouse on Camden Highstreet - The Engineer/The Princess of Wales/The Lansdowne/The Pembroke/The Albert ??
The whole area is pretty much traffic free, residential (posh) wide roads, so ideal for drunken round the block 'Pub Keirin™'

lord stanleys a good choice, right next to cantelowes too.
with the flask id be more worried about going down after the pub, highgate hill is ripped to fuck aswell...what about the steeles? -

Did you deck her ?
:)
That is what my mum accuses me of (being loud) after a couple of pints - on the rare occasions that I end up in the pub with her.
