i've got a Puch and i pretty much got it whole. needed to tweak the gears and put on some new wheels, but other than that, it's okay. anything in particular that you need help with? standard 27" wheels work fine. mind you, mine's made up of a lot of bits and bobs.

I had a 24" Puch pathfinder when I was a schoolboy racer.....they are some of the worst bikes you could buy back then....they made cars and mopeds too.

I acquired a nice Puch frame recently. Well, it's nice looking anyway. I've spent the last few evenings sawing out a jammed seat-post. Fucking sick of it. Hope you don't have to do the same!

my mate had a Puch Mountain Cougar when we were teenagers.
it was so very very bad, weighed a quart of a ton, but he still babied it and would never ride it, ever, to keep it all special.

Hello I looking for info on My Austria built Puch Mistral can anyone be of help?

*Puchs on cock.
EDIT: I realise this may look like a hypocritical response given my moaning to DJ only this morning about kneejerk UTFSing but in my defence, that is a daft question and more importantly i've been waiting to use this joke for ages.

Puch has a two lineages of frames. Austrian and Japanese. The japanese ones are best. I built one up for my dad. They make for a good ride.

From the research and info I have been able to find its age is right around 1979 to 1985. Also this may have been a frameset only one, and was never part of a complete bike.(that coming from its color, info found on Sheldon Browns website)

Just got a Puch frame off ebay for my first fixie project, feels nice and light and comes in sexy banana yellow! now off to figure out type of bb, Austrian built so will it be French or standard? lets see....

I've just picked up a frame - building it up as we speak. 700c wheels seem to work OK but the seatpost/quill is killing me - they seem much smaller than the standard. Looks like I'll have to do some googlin' before this build is through...

ah... I'm lucky in that respect as it came with the seat post. good luck with the build...

Is it a sexy banana yellow like mine? Never seen another one. Converted my dad's old bike form the mid 70s. Despite what he says, all the components seemed pretty budget and it flexes like mad but I love it. Seat post is small diameter, granted, but everything else I can think of off the top of my head is standard british sizes. Happy to measure if anyone needs specifics.

A few years ago I came across a copper-plated Puch frame (1960's). Built it into a fixed gear. Wasn't too difficult, my first.

I have acquired a Puch Prima but does anyone know the diameter size i need for a seat post? I can't find a tape measure and I need a saddle pretty quick!
-

No idea if the prima is the same but I have a spare seatpost that fits my alpine. Yours for the price of postage if you want it
Ive got an austrian built puch prima supra frame, and thinking of building it up to fixed. Its got all the old sizes tho, i.e. 27 1/14 rims. Anyone got much experience with puch? there dont seem to be many of them around.
Any advice most appreciated
