One of my two scars came from a wheelie when I was 11 or so. I couldn't wheelie for shit either... and somehow got it into my head that my old Grifter would be better having a helping hand to lift the front wheel. So I rode full pelt into a kerb, and when the front wheel hit, lifted... half a second of pure wheelie bliss. And then the back wheel hit, and I slammed forward, over the bars, and landed on my left palm in some gravel. Left hand like sandpaper at the time. Only a small scar left to remind me of it.

WTF. How've you made it so far through life with only two scars.
I must add roughly that per week! -

Both cycling related, aged 11 and 31.
Yeah, I guess I'm just a lucky son of a bitch.

I'd love one of them :)
I can't wheelie. Tried so much when I was younger. Managed to do a similar thing to VB. Tried to pull a wheelie on my sister's bike when I was about 13 on the driveway, but pulled up so hard I fell backwards onto my arm so that it bent it backwards.
I think it's loosened up the tendons 'cause I can bend it backwards about 20 degrees ever since then :)

Me and my mate once decided that his Grifter would look better with BMX style straight forks.......so we thought that we would ride at full pelt into a concrete bollard , aiming for one of the forks to hit it first and then repeat on the other side.
The plan was a winner until the right side fork hit the bollard and it fell over....Grifters - handcrafted in Nottingham , made out of iron.
one for max and yorgo and the polo bike, anyone fancy whipping up some Wheelie Bars?
