  • This new system seems to be working ok?

  • yeah great, very nerdy looking though :(

  • Yep Yep. All looks good from this end.

  • How do you get your personal icons back on the posts, or are these now removed?

  • Woo yay! The Eagle has landed!

  • yeah great, very nerdy looking though :(

The UI will change. I just wanted to get it up.

Actually, I needed to get it up... the bugs were driving me nuts but I wanted the polls functionality for the t-shirt design contest. With 1,600 members it would only need a few hundred of you to respond with votes to consume nearly all of my free time in the next week or two. The polls will solve that.

Senior member - WTF. I hope that isn't a dig at my young age ;]

  • BTW, posting options:

edit = edit inline. If you middle-click this you can edit in another window.

quick reply = user the reply box at the bottom of the page, only based editor menu, you don't have to load another page. You can quote the original message too, but it's not required.

multi-quote = is broken this second, but would allow you to quote many posts and then hit 'quote' to be able to reply to all of them at the same time.

quote = full on "reply with quote" interface... good for when you want bulleted lists, lots of images, etc.

Hmm... based on post count I think. As in, you've posted more than 50 times. It helps newbies figure out who are the people who participate most in the community.

It is not that bad. I think the site would look cleaner without the icons on the forumdisplay page.

  • enable avatars please :(

That makes sense. I hadn't really paid attention to how much time I've spent on this site :]
Where's the "Buy the server a beer button" gone?

  • also for some reason it's not updating new posts??

  • I've lost 600 posts.. looks like I get to go past 10,000 all over again! Yay for post counting! :P
I think I've sussed it now.. just like cyclingforums.com which I previously postwhored on..

    Your PM's perchance?

Explain where and I'll be all over it.

  • Your PM's perchance?

    I assumed so.

  • Explain where and I'll be all over it.

so you post in a thread thats at the top of the new posts list, but as soon as i comment it disappears off that list and have to go to the main page and find it???

  • is there any way we can have all the threads on one page?

  • also, can i be an administrator, so i can clean up the names and faces thread?!? (and wreak havoc amongst forumengers and admin can have hidden stuff ;) )

  • Can we set up an FGSS training day - sensible excuse to meet in a pub with wifi.

  • is there any way we can have all the threads on one page?

Why. It's all organised now and you can see if there's new posts in a category by looking at the status icon next to it. Red = all read. Yellow box = new posts.

No fscking way! Madman can't even use a calculator!

  • is there any way we can have all the threads on one page?

    Yes!

    http://www.londonfgss.com/search.php?do=getdaily

It's under Quick Links on the top of the page and will show you just the things in the last 24 hours.

    Or...

    http://www.londonfgss.com/search.php?do=getnew

It's right in the middle of the nav bar, and will show you all of the new posts in all of the threads you haven't read.

  • is there any way we can have all the threads on one page?

just go to new posts! (if it works)
