Because they didn't fight a war against us and then bang on about it for 200 years. Revenge is a dish best served cold

Well I'm being allowed in because they realised my great great great great grandfather didn't really steal that loaf of bread so being deported to the other side of the world was a bit much.
Or it might be because I'm just fantastic and they couldn't say no to me.
The fact that I have a background in a very high demand area of engineering background has nothing to do with it.

ohhh so my problem is that my great great great great grandfather really did shoot the game warden, then went down to the pub and bragged about it to all his mates after a few drinks, then decided it would be a good idea to get the hell out of Ireland.

Sounds like thats the problem bragging will get you nowhere.
I think all government agencies have two sets of forms, the normal ones and a set to give to "undesirables" people who look at them funny so you get so pissed off with the process you just give up. -

i got my forms off the interweb.

Try Roberto. I sold an enormous Jaguar?? frame some time ago and the last time I looked at his site he still had it for sale. You can get his contacts/last post of bikes he had by searching on the site. Am afraid I am too lazy to do that for someone else.
Welcome to the UK, by the way

It's never a good idea to get the hell out of Ireland... it's the only place you can get a good Guinness.

mister k
andyp How about this on ebay?
collection only from derbyshire...
it's a long ride back ;-)
Dam thats so sexy, lucky I'm still kinda bendy and I have a very bad case of N+1 disorder, is 3 bikes to many to have before I land in the country?
Also how far away is derbyshire? I'd look like a right ponce galloping a wheeles frame down the motorway.

Platini 140 miles north on the M1
Bloody hell so 1 mile = 1.6km,that would be fine if my ute fitted into hand luggage and petrol didn't cost a child per liter. Sounds like a day on the trains then, or is it a bus mission? I hate buses,I'd rather take wheels and bits and ride back than sit on a bus.

It's a train journey - about 2.5 hours I think with a change in Nottingham.
Ok, I'm moving to town for Australia and am going to need a bike. Bit sad about leaving my lovely Zullo behind, but its just to expensive to bring it over so into storage it goes. I'm chasing a 60-62cm frame with track or semi-horizontal dropouts for fixed gear fun, obviously has to be steel and well that's about it. Have been thinking about dropping some cash on a Surly Cross Check or Steamroller frame, but would prefer something old cheap and fun.
Anyway if anyone has anything sitting about let me know, if not I'm sure you'll be seeing me about the place, just another 6'6" aussie getting about the place with my helmet on should blend in really well.
