Removing grips is alot like making love
Wiggle the tool round the bars after each squirt, then push it in a little more wiggle around abit. Removed loads of grips with a squirt and a wriggle.

you need to be gentle but yet firm.

lol so much innuendo here, I get the straw that comes with WD40 lube it up stick it in as far as it will go, squirt squirt, do the same round the other side and twist around, off it should come - you just need to clean the grips thorough afterwards :)

Hair-dryer on hot for a couple of minutes on the grips. The rubber gets soft, the metal doesn't, remove grips. That's science in action.

Remove bike from warm flat into cold morning air and your grips might be sliding all over the place with condensation like mine were this morning.

Tilt bike till grip is in vertical plane. Poke park tools 2.5 mm hex key deep into grip with a dribble of water and work it off with a big wriggle and more water between hex key and grip. Replace it with a copious application of 'shock waves' hair spray when your job's done. Easoid peasoid.

i always found the easiest way is to soak the handlebars in warm water with squeezy liquid in it, cleans them up a treat as well whilst wiggling them off.
I am building up my bareknuckle brakeless and I need to remove the brake lever
To do this I have to get my BIG CHEESE grips off without destroying them
Anyone got any bright ideas?
