Wanted: (decent) Bike Cover

Posted on
  • Got a shitty plastic cover from Halfords or somewhere for Xmas that has already given up the ghost (i.e. ripped pretty much in half).

Can anyone reccomend a cover for leaving a bike outside (but secure, locked in the back garden)? Or even better have a cheap unwanted one FS?

    Cheers

    Jim

  • I need the same. Something good enough to keep the weather off of the bike that's on the balcony.

  • Decathlon in Surrey Quays do bike covers medium weight plastic backed nylon with velcro fasteners so you can 'close' it under the bike so gusts of wind won't blow it off. £5 I think mine was.

  • my £15 'bike pyjama' from Evans has survived a year+ and is still going strong

  • I keep a bike in the yard under a moped cover, placcy or nylon with kind of fleecy inside. Bike is developing rust spots. Thanks god its my lady's bike and its shit.

    Be Careful.

Unfortunately some of us do not have a choice.

  • me and my girl keep our rides in a shed and we're getting rust, can't keep cleaning and drying after every ride, just not practical. i'm interested to know a good cover too since we will already have too many bikes for the small shed and we will need to move the dirty bikes out the house... :(

Yeah sorry I wasn't trying to be smug. I need some more room too, big time.
