Las Vegas Cyclery lets me know that this was probably the remnants of a critical mass ride. And there is a big FG thing here. "Lots of Beer, and drinking" my informant informs me.

So I'm stuck in Las Vegas for a week to attend a conference. It's the third year that I have been here, and it's starting to suck enormous amounts.

Has anyone got any suggestions for slightly more unusual activities to keep me amused.

Head up to http://mcghies.com rent a bike and ride out to red rock canyon. take loads of water, and enjoy the silence of the desert.

Bus trip to the Grand Canyon. It's fucking unbelievably impressive, even though you'll only get an hour there.
The one we did took us to loads of weird shanty towns too which were great for photography.
