Buy a Langster, cheap with decent bits.
Have you tried the search tab?
Lots of similar threads FYI. -

(I know I'm supposed to build my own!)yeah i'd say get a langster. i reckon it'd be difficult to build your own under £400 that would be the same quality of a langster. Plus you get a warranty with a fully built one and a service included.

then you can splash a lot more later when the wrongster no longer feels erotic.

I want a bit of sexiness too - know when I see it I suppose. -

The langster is a good bike, just there are people who don't like the way it slopes. If you are not into bulding yourself, then this would be a good choice. Also Fuji Track. -

Thanks.
What if I upped my budget to £700?
I want something fast and light. -
• #11
Or Charge Plug.
-

agreed, "fast and light' and "charge plug" are not bedfellows, no matter what the independent says.
£700 - go condor. get pista. job done.

LOL, yes my page hadn't refreshed. Indeed they are heavyish. However, those new Charge bikes looked pretty nice. If I had £700 I might wait until they come out. There were some pics on here a while back.

get pista or save yourself a couple of hundred pounds and get a genesis flyer. If you can manage the £700 the pista will do you proud though.

Langsters.. twatsters.. cuntsters.. all good!

That bike never gets old.

the charge plug seems 'fake' - i mean this in the sense of, when you buy it, it comes looking supposedly 'cool' - the nice thing of buying a frame and building it is you can choose colours components the way you want.
look on the bay or gumtree for complete bikes - easily find one for under £400

I think the charge plug is a pretty "cool" bike. Nearly bought one myself, some people just don't have time to build stuff from scratch. I have had a bike frame under my desk at work for weeks for this exact reason. The charge has a pretty nice set of components for the money and doesn't come in a particularly offensive colour nor have big logo all over the place. I say get what you like, get on the road and enjoy cycling in our amazing city! London is a great place away from the shackles of public transport. My opinion is that there is no right or wrong bike, all bikes are good.

lol
you can get away with being mean if you are funny, though.
Hello,
I've been cycling in London for over 20 years and now I really want to try a single speed. Any one here got a favorite shop to get a bike from (I know I'm supposed to build my own!) I usually go to Brixton Cycles but they only have two to choose from.
Thanks for your help.
