  • hey scott just wondering how delphina is
    i heard from emily(boy) yesterday

just tell her that i hope she isn't too bad and is getting better from the guy with the super long seat post

    how r u?

    hope all is well

    seb

  • I second that - heard from dale last night what happened. Was it my drunken imagination or was there talk of getting her a bike together? I have a frame, but it might be too big, and it's embarassing (the alf webb) :)

  • i'm sure we can get one up and running for her

  • It was a blast scott! Aidan has a procedure today (don't worry, not caused by the party!! It was a pre-scheduled thing) so I think i might make a discussion on his behalf thanking everyone.

It was a pity that we couldn't keep drinking in the charterhouse (no late license so we had to pack up shop at midnight), but we made up for it by spending all the money we made on tickets on more booze and drinking at Aidan's afterwards!

  • what happened?

when did you / everyone else leave?

  • that sucks, she all right?

  • hows your fist?

  • I'm amazed how calm Scott managed to remain.

I made quite a rapid exit at about 20 past 3 i think, rode home pissed and also pissed, got to my front door, realised i didn't have either my phone or my keys, rode all the way back from brixton to aidans less pissed but even more pissed, got back about 20 past 4 and found my phone, and also found that my flatmate edwin (the short, ginger and northern guy who gave aidan his cake) had taken them home cos he couldnt find me. Decided that I was far too angry and tired to ride back to brixton again, so instead slept on aidan's landing.

Emilie and John were still there as well as a few of the (non-bike-riding) girls, but the party was really dying down by the time i got back.

  • scott not scot yeah...that's what i meant emilie..:)

You refrained from hitting the driver. That's pretty calm by my books.

  • @ asm

    thats annoying

when i left you were in one of the rooms, how come you were'nt allowed back in

John and myself caught about an hour and a half sleep on the two sofa's then bailed at about 7:45.

  • so wat you been doing today em, did you get your BB - no wait i forgot to metion its the titanium phil wood bb

  • It was fucked anyways, it's not like you damaged an unblemished part of the car.

  • I have a massive hole in my shiny silver top now because a van driver turned across my side of the road today. Caused by a fence post, which was inches from my neck. I had to swerve off the road to avoid him. Luckily bike and myself were fine, aside from the hole, and by the time i hit the fence i wasn't really going that fast. I really nearly hit the driver, despite being really tired and still stuck to the fence.

Never thought i'd ever even think about doing something like that.

Allowed back in to where? I did get back in to aidan's house...

  • allowed back into the bedroom upstairs

  • Thanks for the thread, bless you guys! :)
I've been in bed since I got back from the hospital, trying to sleep off the pain.
I was really lucky, got away with only a couple of bumps and bruises.
I managed not to get cut on any glass either, thank god.
But, as you said correctly I now don't have a bike anymore, I'm 5'4" so would be ideally looking for a 51/52 sized fixed.
I will pluck up some courage tomorrow and leave the house to visit some bike shops to see if they have anything interesting, :)

Thanks a lot for your support!! :D

  • Get well soon!

  • yeah, getting hit sucks badly.

I don't know you, but get well soon and good luck sorting a new bike out

  • glad to here you escaped any major injuries

i'm sure you'll have a bike soon enough

any things you like / don't like

so i can know what to look out for steel /alu?

  • Yep, a steel frame bike would be a safer bet since I would be using the bike all day anyway.
I'm open to any kind of fixed frame bike but to be honest not too fussy, :)

  • 61cm bianchi pista?

  • 61 is too big, :(
    I would be rather be looking of a 51-52. I'm tiny... :(
But thank you all the same! ^^
