A new cycling club for London! Less formal than other London clubs, the Rollapaluza team is open to all London cyclists who want to take part in all forms of cycling, social and competitive.

There will be no pressure to compete, but if you want to, we are affiliated to British Cycling and count two qualified coaches in our membership as well as some experienced racers from the world’s of track, mtb, road and courier-racing….some familiar faces to you I’m sure….so there’ll be plenty of advice and help floating round and hopefully occasional transport to events too.

Rollapaluza CC members get their own website to which they can post articles, results, pictures, stories etc as well as a member-only forum and a “rollapaluza.cc” email address.

W engaged “Big Daddy Wayne” to design our "brand" and jersey and it’s pretty sweet and probably the biggest benefit to joining!….all race clothing will be cost price to members who’ll also receive miniscule discounts on Rollapaluza entry fees and tee shirts.

If you didn’t think you wanted to join a club, we could be the club for you!

  • This looks like a brilliant thing. I am certainly up for it - been wanting to get closer to the possibility of racing for some time now.

    I'm in :-)

  • we're placing clothing order this week, so will update with actual cost.....

  • Forgot to mention, we've re-launched the main site today as well....

    http://www.rollapaluza.com

  • can we get to hang around with the stars of rollapolluza??

  • So, what sort of racing is going on? I'm interested in giving some track stuff a go (never been a racing cyclist, but i have a track running background).

Also roller racing, obviously. That's awesome fun.

    This looks tempting.

  • Track, roller, road and mtb, will be main focus, hill climbs too.....plus other types of racing some of which should not be mentioned in current climate!

  • How do I register for the forum etc.Or have I missed something?
    I have have nt I?

  • I am interested, been thinking about joining a club for a while. Do you think we could get some sort of club training run going on sat or sunday mornings? I have been out a few time this winter but end up getting a bit lost and demoralised on my own.

  • @overdrive....forum is for club members.....sign up and you're in!

@thebrick....I'm sure club runs will happen, we're attempting to gather some like-minded folk and we'll all suggest and do stuff.

  • where do I sign?

  • we'll have final price for clothing within 24 hours then a paypal button will magically appear on the site....

  • I would love to sign up for this, but it seems I am being an idiot. How do I join?

  • If I lived (rather than just worked) in London I would sign up like a shot. I would also probably score more than 4 (including free space) on Hipster Bingo if I resided within this country's capital!

Good luck with the project, Winston.

  • Ok...I've worked out clothing order costs.....there is now a "join" page on the site.

Clothing will take 4 weeks by the way and don't forget British Cycling will charge you for a race license if you do want to race in the future.

  • oooo sounds good, right up my street. I only hope Big Daddy Wayne hasnt gone for the WWE style jersey!

  • there's a pic of the design on the club site.....

  • what is the jersey style/fabric (sleeves/zip?)

  • badtmy what is the jersey style/fabric (sleeves/zip?)

first order will be standard 1/4 zip, short sleeve race jersey with rear pockets....made of exactly the same fabric that all pro racing jerseys are made from....our Portuguese supplier makes kit for Euro pro teams apparently.

Individual styles (full length zip, long sleeve etc) require a minimum order of 10 unfortunately.....

  • Mashton just joined....well done mate!

  • you getting it from fcarvalho? ive got a jersey by them. top material

  • yes indeed it is!

  • im interested
but wont be around london for a month or two then exams then not here for summer ha
so i might join a lot latter, saves the money for beer in the mean time !

  • cool, they're Summer jerseys anyway...but designed in a colour (black) that will go with any cycle clothing....like armwarmers etc...

  • shorts black so yay!
