Most likely that something has changed your hosts file at C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
That was they can redirect your home page to elsewhere.

Get spybot search and destroy from safer networking on the case. Gets rid of most of these things

should have got a pc with a processor that support CPU supports VT technology installed [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xen]Xen[/ame] then installed as many different o/s as he wants, with image snapshots of the setups so reinstalling would be painless.
but that would be an awful lot of hassle.

Considering PayPal is currently recommending Safari users switch to Firefox to gain increased protection from phishing scams... I'd say there were quite compelling reasons to not use the "great Safari".
