  • i agree with winston.

  • cheap bike if you weld two together ;)

  • aidan i agree with winston.

    don't start that again.....

pick up some espresso while you're in there.....ground, in a black tin....you won't regret it.

  • I am assuming that this isn't a joke and am going out to buy one now. Falcon Lane, SW11. Will report back.

  • Top tip MDX. One of these now resides in my garage (where it will probably stay...) Not the most impressive bit of engineering I've ever seen, but amazing that they can do it for £25. Probably made by far Eastern infants with bleeding fingers, but that won't stop me and my hipster friends having ironic, post-crusty, post-Swampy, post-Levellers fun on it, oh no.

The fifteen-quid SPD-compatible shoes didn't look too appalling, but who in their right mind puts their child in a £6.99 helmet? "I want to save Timmy from a terrible brain injury, but I want to do it absolutely as cheaply as possible..." Probably the same people who spend £7.99 on the adult version...

And fuck me is Lidl a depressing place. Empty at 16:30, but maybe their usual clientele hadn't yet got out of bed and collected their giros.

I bought 18 helmets, 12 pairs of gloves, 4 pairs of socks and a pair of shoes. I will be testing fatblokes theory out on children and adults alike on a Dartmoor near you soon.

The helmets have to meet the European CE standard or they can't be sold. I suspect that they are no worse than a lot of other lids out there, just not as much money has gone into the aesthetis.

    Well spotted MDX.

  • apparently, some enterprising sparks have been buying up all the gear (especially the spd shoes) and putting it up on ebay for double the price.

having seen the shoes, I don't think they'd last long enough to warrant £15, let alone £30

  • My missus is a Hun. Apparently it's pronounced leeee-duhl. LEEEEE-duhl. And apparently I'm not allowed to ride my new unicycle becuase I'm going to break my face.

  • ^ I've got a helmet you can buy on the cheap. £10?

didn't you hear the track above??
    ;-)
