• Anybody have a copy on DVD of the famous Jorgen Leth film of the 1976 Paris Roubaix?

  • Yeah.

    Whisper what I suspect you'll ask :)

  • there are details regarding this on a previous thread, the one where we all wen to the flicks to see it.

  • From the archive:

    mr_tom
hippy
mr_tom
hippy I'm still looking for a copy of that..

I have a DivX copy that I can shove onto the interwebs somewhere, if that's of use.
Depends where you plan on shoving it.. but it could be a use, yes.
You in London? Perhaps a DVD swap could be arranged if not online..?
There's a copy here. Password is 'cordwangle'

I am in London, so if that link's not a goer, then I can burn some discs and hand them out.
I guess ask Mr. Tom again.

  • Piggybacking here, but that link says the file has expired.

  • Yeah i missed it the first time round, be cool to see it online again...

  • Hippy, is it you who posted the file up there? Is it possible to reactivate or should we torrent?

  • Apparently there will be a torrent on pirate bay later.

When I see it up there I'll put the link on here.

  • Awesome, Cheers. Im still in Detroit, but Id like a hardcopy from someone when I move in August.

  • Cool, saves me from uploading it :)

  • I didn't upload it but I've got that copy mentioned above if anyone wants it.

  • i have a copy. can burn, bring to polo, that sort of thing.

  • was watching this at turd's after party at 2.30 in the morning with a house full of drunker students and angry scottish guys!

  • Spoiler warning: Eddy doesn't win.

  • And yes, I have a digimatal copy that I could upload somewhere. It would take a while, though, so I'd try the torrent first. If it doesn't work - I can do something about that.

  • hippy I didn't upload it but I've got that copy mentioned above if anyone wants it.

yes please dude. see you next thurs perhaps?

  • Are you riding Monopoly jonny?

  • anyone watched any of the other 'Wieler' films ?

and also anyone have any recomendations (that are attainable) of a similar tac to this, loved wathcing them,
never realised there where mondern ones :)

  • I downloaded the torrent and just watched Overcoming on the train on my asus eee (smug) didn't know there are power sockets on the train until now!!!!

    Excellent movie.

  • I unwrapped my Overcoming DVD (didn't watch it) after watching "Chris Boardman - The FInal Hour" DVD. The latter is cool if you like the hour record.

  • overcoming is good.

i have breaking away on the computer too.

    ciao bambino!

  • Just watched A Sunday in Hell after torrenting a mass file of Wieler flicks last week, and I can honestly I was hooked.
Absolutely enthralling. And that's coming from someone whose only bike films have been very urban/fixed-centric (MASH, Pedal, Red Light Go, etc.)

Really made me think about getting some gears for my old Holdworth. Again.

  • Overcoming is alright. It is one of those DVDs where the Extras are better though. Jens Voigt is awesome in it.

  • oh, and hippy, obviously i wasn't on the monopoly ride but pick it up from you soon dude.
