Yeh, I saw the njsframes blog, but my guess is as he's aiming to supply people overseas he's not the most competetively priced and it looks like he's only got them in stainless steel. As I said, I have previously tracked down the website of the people who make these, but can't now lay my hands on it. The plan was to find out who makes them and see how much they'd charge for 5-10, if they'd sell them to me, then my brother could bring them back. I did google "Metallico Tsuchinoko" but drew a blank. Does anyone have a link to the infamous pink bike on velospace, cos I think I may have originally tracked them down from something on that page. Again, thanks. If I can find the people who make them and they'e willing to sell to me direct, I'll post here and people can let me know if they're interested.

damn, I thought this was some crazy new venture.
Typical Conversation:
Customer: "I've never been to one of these before, can you suggest a good 'un?"
Barkeep: " Well, we have this try before you buy system, basically test it out on your nose and if you sneeze you've found your dildo"
Customer: "I have to say I'm particularly interested in the 1978 Californian"
Barkeep: " Yes, that was a particularly fine year, though we're running low. How does a 1920's Parisian sound"
Etc Etc -

polybikeuser Sorry didn't know what else to call these, but does anyone know who makes the japanese straight handle bars with the spherical (I guess dildo like) ends. I did have a link to the website of the people who make these, but can't find it, I'd really appreciate any links anyone could post either to the manufacturer or a japanese seller, my brothers going to Japan at the end of March and I'm going to ask him to bring some back. Thanks.
i thought that guy's prices were fair, seeing how much machining would be involved. i doubt he will tell you, as you would cut his lunch. the pink one was powdercoated.
smeear, you were a bit too quick for my liking with responses :p

Maybe I'm just being cheap today, but while $85 doesn't seem extortionate, nether does it seem particularly competetive, not if you're buying them locally in Japan, rather than having them shipped. I'm was also pretty sure these were available anodized in a variety of different colours, though you're now making me me think I might have been wrong about this and that they were powder-coated instead.

Nope. I too am fairly sure I remember them coming anodized somewhere.
Unless the insanity is contagious, or the vision communal.
Neither of which bode well for this fair isle. -
