Question About Polo/disc to Fixie Conversions

OK, bit of a weird/overly specific question here.

Basically, I was thinking about coming down to polo with my "street" bike (a Commencal 26" wheel jump bike) and I was thinking about having it as a part time fix using one of those fancy new cogs from London Fixie Bike. Three questions though:
1. Would my teeny tiny bike be good for polo or would a regular size bike be better?
2. Is being fixed that much of an advantage (and would it be OK with flat pedals if I'm only doing polo speeds)
3. What sort of gearing should I go for? Lowest possible?

if your gear is above 1x1 you need retention. litte ikes are good for polo. about 20gi
