• Just received a structurally sound but ragged looking pinarello treviso (c.85). I want to replace the decals. Any pointers gratefully received.

  • Unless they've got clearcoat over them you should be able to peel them off. Any remaining glue will come off with lighter fuel.

  • For the super tough ones that lighter fuel can't shift HG make a very good sticker remover. You can get it from any leyland and most other diy shops.

  • Nice one chaps........

  • Try tee cut. is that how it's spelt? dunno the stuff for polishing cars. Also chrome cleaner. it polishes off the top layer (being the decals) leaving it al nice an crispie. I've got some on the stall down in Broadway market on Saturdays or... bikes@perlierides.com

  • hair dryer on high temp, makes the decals soft enough to remove ( usually ).

  • use search on this forum. so much more info than the stuff just this thread.

  • Oops doesn't read right. I meant it will also polish away the clear coat/lacquer as well ! good stuff
