james, hi again.
that's a UN53 BB.
i got my stronglight track cranks off ribblecycles.co.uk for fifty quid. they'll suit that bb just right with their JIS taper. nice quality too, a bit like the miche. steer clear of cheapo cranks. for a stem speak to Will at hubjub.co.uk for a nitto pearl or something, otherwise anywhere or anyone should have a basic 1" quill knocking around.
oh and be sure to stick some photos up on here when you're done.

Josh,
Knew I was close on the BB model, haha! have just checked out those cranks and they look the way to go. Are they what you ran on the frame? Cheapest I've seen for a good quality brand. 1" quills seemed more expensive than the last one I bought hence I thought id try by here, and ebay, just in case.
Once my hubs arrive and I can lace the wheels, pics will be up!

I'll still running the cheapest shittiest cranks ever, £15 new off ebay. They say DOTEK on the back, and came with a single ring and a shitty metal trouserguard ring on the outside. Anything I should be aware of in terms of failures? At the moment I'm loathe to change them since they're not too precious and hence are handy to sling against lamposts when locking up to save the paintwork on the frame.

I'm in the same boat as fc9k.
I find the trouserguard quite useful (key reason for buying it!). They are quite heavy, but look pretty strong and come with 42T chainring. My chainset/hub combo is:
DOTEK crank + BBUN26x113 + on-one small flange double fixed hub + Miche15T = xroads -

I've got dotek on my fixed. to be honest they are damn sight prettier than the rpm's i have on my other bike. I matched them to a cheap 80s sugino chainring so look decent enough from a distance.
depends on your budget but i'd ride them till they die!

Got the Stronglight cranks as per Josh's post, got them now and they look great! Should have been getting the rings and bars elsewhere, but that deal fell through, so have edited my intial post accordingly.
Unfortunately not in London so would need postage
Cheers, James.
Hiya Everyone,
(Got some cranks so editing this post, and another deal fallen through) :)
With some advice and a few good deals from here, all parts for my new build are on their way! for those who know the story, this build is better than my last by a long way, so somewhat a blessing in disguise.
Any way, last two bits:
Stem: just any quill, 80-100mm, just something to get it together and I can see how it fits etc after so doesnt need to be anything special.
Bars - just not liking my flat ones, so drops/bullhorns
~48T 130 5hole chainring
rear sprocket, 17t?
im waiting now on my wheels being built, so thought id stick this by here for these few bits before I buy new next week. Not in London :( so would need postage!
Many thanks guys,
James
