  • anyone know much about Diamant track frames? anyone got one?

  • Slamm has one I think.

  • if someone's offering you one, get it.

  • slams bike is perty...

  • i was wondering about the tubing really. it's not stickered. Slamm's seems to be 531 from the photo...

  • chris crash slams bike is perty...

is that the multicoloured (pink, blue and purple or some joyful combination like that) bike that was at bike polo today?

    cuz it looked sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet...

  • yep that be mine :-) thanks
certainly 531, RPM's right, if you've got the chance to get one, get it.

    While I remember, check this…

    My bike -

    Found On FGG -

Mental! keep meaning to email the guy.

  • i'd seen your bike elsewhere and thought it was just delightful. 60cm?

presumably yours is a track frame with the same paintjob and you didn't have the ends replaced/braze-ons removed?

do you know much about them in general? i just want to suss the steel.

  • the one on the bottom looks great -

    top one's a bit ropey though…

  • bloody hell, i once had magura hydraulic brakes on a dual slalom bike... i could stop on a fifty pence piece... lethal. plus servicing them was a nightmare.

  • Superprecise i'd seen your bike elsewhere and thought it was just delightful. 60cm?

    Yep, that's right, it's a track frame, 60cm.
    Believe they're German, that's about all I know…

  • aha ! That is where your believe misleads you. There is a Diamant in Belgium and a Diamant in Germany. Totally unrelated as far as I know btw.

  • aaah, yes I was told originally they were Belgian but then someone told me they were definitely German so went with that.
    Confusing!

  • my bikes bigger then yours :P

  • ahhh... i heard they were east-german but i also see a lot of diamant's around over here in Belgium so I figured they might be Belgian too... So, how do you tell one from another?

  • for example, there are quite a lot of diamant's with this logo around in Belgium, so i assume they are the Belgian Diamants?

  • yeah that's what I was gonna say, think the German one is more like this -

there's also some weird little face logo I've seen too? and there's this to throw into the mix also -
a head badge that seems to say Milano on it? :-P

  • but what about ze steel???!

  • check out german ebay. A few pop up from time to time. It also seems to be a fairly good place to get track stuff in general......

  • that's where I got mine ;-)

  • that one on ebay at the mo has a strange looking bottom bracket in it. looks nice though, and slamm's is a beauty.

  • ^She's selling that from Bristol.
I received a seat post from her today.

  • ....facing the same problem here, bought mine in Belgium but for what I found out is that they also have various lugs. There the ones with the actual diamant-shape thingie in it, which I believe are the Belgian ones and the others with more decorations which look to be the east-german frames. There is no information about the east-german factory on the web though....

  • anyone know much about Diamant track frames? anyone got one?

    Yeah. You?
