• Hi everyone.

I'm David, this is my first post. After years of single speed freewheeling I finally went fixed last week and

promptly stopped by the polo at the top end of brick lane to see all the cool kids do what they do best

and i stood there goggling the beautiful bikes and what people did with them and then i went home

vowing to myself to learn some neat tricks so that one day i, too, might become a cool kid...

Sooo.... i returned next day to practice track stands and the like in the evening sun and came across a bar end lying on the ground, which must have

fallen off someone's bar during the polo.

it's nothing special but might have emotional value...

    it looks like this

    anyone???

  • hi. not mine

  • No, although someone was asking me who makes those swirly one.
    Anyone know?

  • i think they come with bianchi pista steel, not 100% sure on that

  • i lost one, but it was a cinelli. so i stopped at BLB and feya gave me a new one.

my bar ends make me feel really emotional. i cry when i lose one. i cried this time, i couldn't stop. my eyes are really puffy now.

you should just pop in to polo, don't be scared.

  • i lost both of my colnagos, they don't really fit into risers

  • addie No, although someone was asking me who makes those swirly one.
    Anyone know?

addie: i asked you that last night, you sweet decapitated rubber chicken! it's me: david! hey!

i thought you would have nailed my identity by the clodhopping pun of a moniker.

i quite simply -as is often the case - couldn't resist.

d;)= thanks, i'll try to control my immense fear next time. polo makes me feel really emotional. i was puffy all of sunday...

  • addie: by the way... should you return to the house tonight you will find my bike balancing delicately, yet securely
above the space where you usually lock yours.
should this arrangement draw your scorn, i will, of course, find a different solution...

  • nice to meet u

  • hi mick. nice to meet you too

Think that comes with Specialized Phat Wrap or whatever its called

  • El Sprocketeerio: cap-doff. And bike
PJ: wine corks and bourbon tops. Depends on your bar diameter, but they work great. And when you get desperate for a tipple, a slight sniff of your bars is enough to see you through.

I feel like a dirty addict now I've written that. :(
