There`s a pretty cool french guy behind the bar that rides fixed and most of the mechanics are on fixies as well.
Fixed wheel culture is not that popular here in Barcelona (I`m here at the moment) and the few chaps into this here are very receptive!
They sell Deda, Dura-Ace and Miche track stuff at this shop.
There
s another secret place with vintage stuff as well, but I
ll have to find it again...I forgot the address.
There`s a picture of the window on my blog with a Zeus (Spanish answer to Campagnolo) equipped columbus track frame.http://rodafixa.blogspot.com/2008/01/els-carrers-de-barcelona.html

Price wise, is it worth picking stuff up over there rather than here?
Or, as it's less common, does that work the other way 'round?BLB rules or less interest=less mark-up?

probike is quite good but mainly if you like MTB's (they have some road stuff)

Price wise it's a bit cheaper...
Bag with 5 chainring bolts in London (taiwan) = 5.00GBP
Bag with 5 chainring bolts in Barcelona (taiwan) = 4.00EUROSOk, it's cheaper here, but there aren't that much variety as in Lunden.
The complete vintage track bike was going for around 1000 EUROS
Nice vintage road bike (campy + shimaNO bits, etc) for around 300 EUROS
I got my MICHE cranks for around 89 euros at Spaibici last X-mas.

Resurrecting a pretty old thread...but any further recommendations of good bike shops in Barcelona? Looking for shops aimed at the road bike and fixed/ss (obviously!) market rather than MTB, commuting etc. bikes.
Also, does anyone know of any good markets or secondhand shops where I might find some decent gear for my first build?

This is probably your best bet I think.

Thanks for the suggestions but maybe I wasn't clear enough in my posting - I'm looking for bike shops or second hand stores and markets/fairs selling bike components and kit i.e. places where I can have a browse.
I'm not looking to buy a complete bike. Nor do I want to deal with private sellers - I'm only there for a few days so can't be arsed arranging meets. Plus there's the whole language barrier issue - at least in a shop I can point at the things I'm interested in!

Bump. I am currently cycling to Barcelona and will arrive on Wednesday. I need someone / somewhere to help me remove a rounded off seat clamp bolt so I can take my seatpost out to pack my bike to fly home. Can anyone suggest a shop that might be able to help? Anyone living there who can lend a hand?
Thanks
Joe -

Just a quick bump for MBP. They pack up your bike in a box full of foam padding and bubblewrap for 30 euros which you can then stick on the metro a mear street crossing away!
I'm going to be in Barcelona for a few days next week - does anyone have any bike shop recommendations?
Thanks.
