guardian or observer had some piece about lock cutting times. they highly recommended the big kyptonite new york, because it took 2 mins 33 to get through.

any cable lock like that all you need is a vx cutter for cutting the skin off armored electrical cables. it will rip the armour on that like papper.

....with a free wheel, without back break, with black plastic pedals with reflectors, without straps.
If this is your bike; some toe rag was trying to nick it today. I gave him a few stern words and pointed out the police cameras to him.
Its not the best place to leave such an unsubtle bike and those steel o'flex (is that what they are called?) locks are quite easy to get through as I found out to my cost when my bike got stolen a couple of years ago.
