don't justify your blatant smugness by adding at the end "so... what's on all of your wish lists" in an attempt to make this a thread!
Only messing. so is this a thoroughly planned ultimate build? takes a while dunnit. expensive too. must see pics when you're finished!

Wolflore, am I you? I also need the same BCD chainrings, but am thinking that lpg might have sorted me out on that, if he gets me more than one, do you want the spare? I won't even start thinking about stuck seat posts again, I've just learnt to ride one bike at a silly height.
There's a couple of Brooks B17s on gumflea at £10 http://www.gumtree.com/london/59/19182159.html up in stoke newington, but hands off the honey one.
I suppose it still technically counts as this week, so I got: a pewter goldtec rear hub with an open pro... all i need now is a new front wheel to do the rear one credit. a new saddle, some bar tape, and some time to ride it. Oh and ideas as to what to do with an old GT ZR4000... -
• #14
Oh and the GT has old shimano 105 aero levers if anyone wants them?

he really exists, a Marque Enthusiast!
I think he married Betty Swallocks, the little known English female frame builder

@ Superprecise. Im not trying in any way to hide my smugness.
I've been broke for many many months and got paid a bonus on Monday. I'm systematically buying everything I may want/need :]To be honest the stuff is all for my current main ride ( All of the others aren't fixed wheels) , I just like being able to change things around for different purposes, or sometimes just because it's fun.

Still trying to work out if I'm going to make tonight.
You need to employ some bid snier action for your current lot. -

Laughing in the face of popular opinion I bought a Titanium MTB frame and a brown deep V for my campy hub.
I wish for a 90s kore stem currently on ebuy, world peace, and a single tim-tam so I can finally pit the Ozzie 'tim-tam' against an authentic British Penguin in a tea-slamming contest..
...okay I was kidding about the deep-V.. ;-) -

can't you bid by mobile?
-
• #21

You'll eat leaves and small stones like the rest of us. AND you'll be bloody thankful for it.
So far this week I've purchased the following;
Goldtec Rear hub, black 32h
Black Deep V (Non machined)
32 spokes
33 nipples (I'll blatently lose one during the wheel build)
(thanks jos)
650c tubular rim and tub radially laced to a Shimano 600 (smooth as sin) hub
650c Specialized Motorola Tri Spoke with tub
(/thanks Jos)
A 1 1/8 Chris King headset (BLACK)
That's more than halved my wish list.
Still to buy are a Phill Wood BB, Nitto drops, New chainring & Trackcog, Chain and some risers (Eastern EA30)
I've also acquired (Liberated) an old cruiser with a coaster brake.
What's on all of your wish lists?
