ChrisNW said: 'Try cyclebasket, I got a Tange one from them. Stack height a bit short though, so had to use an extra 5mm spacer. Fairly cheap. Exact same as the Standard ISO 1" sizes on here, I measured it with a vernier.'

i have a king grip nut silver if your interested, new nuts and crown race, i'l check the stack when i get home and let you know

DA ones are among the smallest stack headsets, although Tange are small too. If DA is much too small then I doubt Tange will do it. The CK gripnut (as suggested above) would be your best bet because it screws into itself and so doesn't need as many fork threads.

if you've got enough of a budget, and can find one, the older da headsets (7400/7600?) have really small stack heights.
-

radicalrik, that would be great, thanks.
hassnr, had an older DA, the one with the star nut, and that was 40mm
the DA is 37.6mm need a 32/33mm, can't get the locknut on.. -

had same problem with my bike. got a tange levin (or poss prestige cant remember) from sjs and left off the keyed washer. works fine as long as its backed up against the lock nut a bit.

31trum - i have a Tange dude. it is short. wanted to put a campag chorus one on but no way. Tange does the job though. oh yeah

how would you measure the stack height of a fitted headset?
it's an old campag one and is in serious need of repleacement.

measure the bottom race from fork to frame and add that to the top of headtube to top of nut. measurement = stack height.
mine is campy too, and it's fnuckin' knackered. -

sounds pretty logical when you put it like that ;)
let me know how you get with a replacement, looks like I may have the same problem soon... -

Yeah, my Tange headset is just over 32mm height. Cheap and cheerful so far. Doesn't look as nice as some others though.

yo the cup and nuts rise a total of 25mm above the top of the head tube. i will be at bike polo on sunday probably if you want to take a look anyway. let me know
-
• #18
£50? does that sound ok? basically the there is only one thread in contact with the steerer on the fork rather than the split threads of any two nut headset because it compresses itself. i'm around in town all week so let me know when you're free and i can meet you somewhere

swap plus £20
