Toe Strap Woes...HELP!

Posted on
  • Having almost finished building up my first fixer ive just come to fitting my toe straps to pedals, having allways had flatties im a bit unsure exactly how to do this. I have some luvly MKS RX-1's, MKS toeclips and Fujitoshis straps....any help/pix would be most appreciated as i just want to make sure i do it the correct/safe way! cheers...

  • most people put a twist in the strap in between the underside of the pedal, have a look at some pictures on velospace or something...

  • the metal clip should face away form your shoe on the outside of the frame, the strap feeds through the loop on top of the clip and the two slits in the pedals... i dont know anything about twisting.

  • thanks guys...think ive got it, just gotta learn to ride in em now!

  • Double straps?

    If so...

  • front breaks are fun.

  • just single straps....whoa they look even more complicated! but really nice...mmmm

  • the twist is to stop it moving about as much, acts like a sort of knot to stop the clip on the strap moving up towards the top of the toe clip.
