  • the-smiling-buddha I got a 54 but its in Paris

    hm doesnt help much:-)
    anyway was it overlaping????

  • toe overlap>>?

  • yezzz

  • if toe overlap is a major issue for you, then don't get a BK.

unless you have a slack fork to go on, or very small feet

  • no i think 56 should be fine.....i guess.......as in maybe:-)

  • they's tall..

a 56 comes out high cos of the way high BB.

great, nippy responsive ride, not my fave for jumping on and off though.

if you've found one second hand then go for it

  • the toe overlap has never been a problem it just means that it is not very maneouvrable at very low speeds

  • I love my bareknuckle

  • theres a really nice green one in BB bkies i saw today, rad colour. Too big for me though.

  • when I have built the Mercian up I am going to respray mine green metallic

  • Conan theres a really nice green one in BB bkies i saw today, rad colour. Too big for me though.

hehe i was there as well ...on the other side of barricade..i mean counter:-).....were you the one with the black velocity rim:-)?????

    yeah too big for me.....

yeah it looks the part and it is the nicest widely available frame out there...and steel.......
and as for overlap...i dont really fancy having one cuz i have never had one...even on my 53-54 frame:-)

  • RPM they's tall..

way high??? i thought its the standard 28.5 cm....
and yeah jumping on and off wasnt a problem on my fort and that was the same size...
    yeah second hand.... i wish:-).........

  • I measured mine at 295mm, course if you use 170+ cranks your seat will be lower and the whole experience better for the road.

  • hey do you have a 56 then????? no i use 165s ....do you still have it???? can you measure the diestance form the centre of the front dropout to centre of the bb axle????cheers:-)

  • whats the deal with these bareknuckles? anyone know if there available again, last time i asked around everyone said they'd totally sold out.

  • I had one until recently, loved it but sold it because I needed to buy food/rent.

it served me well for 9 months daily work, it's a track bike, though, no messin

  • lots of lovely tight angles, looks the part, goes like stink

  • Conan whats the deal with these bareknuckles? anyone know if there available again, last time i asked around everyone said they'd totally sold out.

we can still get them at brick lane bikes.....noly the last time they were really low on stock....ill check tommorow what the score is ..as i want one as well:-)

  • this is mine six months ago

  • bling wheel

  • one thing i love about the bareknuckle is the high BB.

i was using clips and straps (not even low-profile pedals, but wide-lyotard style pedals), and i never got pedal strike. I kept trying, by leaning loads in to corners, but it just never happened.

and i was using 170mm cranks.
