any one got a pic of the lugs?
i think mine are similar, could be a gazelle/giraffe -
• #13
hi yes i have a Gazelle AB road frame dicki had an AA road frame i think. pretty sure mine is mid 80's very nice steel frame with quite subtle clean and pretty lugs, very sturdy decent bikes from what i understand. I have had several dutch people stop and chat with me, which is always a bonus!

sweet bikes the champion mondial is one of their better bikes, AA Special frames are top of the range ... nice stiff but compliant 531c tubing, geometry is very nice quite sharp steering on the road bikes, a lot of people say the gazelle is one of the " rolls royce " of bikes quality build and they do look stunning nice decals great paint job .
had mine stolen unfortunately mine was a conversion from a road bike 2nd nicest bike i ever owned SHAME
the track frames are very tight geometry lots of toe - verlap there are a couple of gazelle tracks in london i have seen and a few road bikes converted to fixed. if you haven't secured it make sure you do you won't regret owning once. i am still hunting for a replacement but they do seem to be going for decent money complete bikes 300 - 400 EUR frames 150 - 200
even saw a gazelle track at herne hill earlier this year being ridden by a pro it was red he was quick !! -

pics of bike at my facebook site and i think on flickr
including close ups of the lugs for those perverts out there

have the lugs got a cut-out like this????
tear-drop type? -
• #19
no its a triangle cut out
-
• #20
chromed horizontal rear stay drive side
non drive side it usually states Special AA Frame on the horizontal stay
forks have gazelle pantograph at the top of the fork and rear stays have gazelle ebmossed into the metal cinelli bottom bracket but i think that might be standard on all the champion mondials

surely that picture is of a concorde frame? have i missed summink?
-
• #22
Um, perhaps I'm being fick. The owner said he thought it was a Gazelle frame and I assumed that 'Concorde' was just the model name if that makes sense? Perhaps I should start another thread 'Does anyone know anything about Concorde frames'. Unless you can shed some light on this? Ta.

i feel all usedYou love it!
Not trainers or big African deer type things. But that Dutch (I think) bicycle company. I (nearly) have a steel track frame made by them back in the late 80s and wanted to find out more about it and them as a company. All info devoured with relish, thanks muchly.
