Blog/Forum thing

bonjour! slightly off topic although we are on a forum...which contains a lot of nerds..
i want to create some kind of blog thing which would allow me and my fellow university friend to discuss project briefs and other university issues..

.it needs to be a place where private members can post images and stuff
i cant think of anymore things right now but if anyone could point me in the direction of something similar it would be great.

You could just use some crap like blogger and make it private. Depends on exactly what content needs to go up and how it's used.

thanks for the link....ive had a look at blogger but it seems like the kind of place where one person writes something and others read....im after something that allows everyone to contribute.

Why not keep it really simple and use a google document which is shared. You can all edit it.

I'd say wiki. My department has a wiki which students edit hosted in the department. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to get some good free hosting. Or just spend a couple of quid a month for 100mb and 1gb bandwidth or something.

I used to use wordpress for a blog at work - it's free, really easy, you can host images – but I'm not sure if you can make it private - google Wordpress and see if it's what you need...

Oh yeah, use a wiki - how silly of me.
We are using MediaWiki here for some project work. No idea if it's good and what the admin is like but for editing it works ok for me.
