Keirin Frame

Posted on
  • So... I have recently obtained a Vivalo frame from Japan and am eager to get it running, problem I'm having is that the rear spacing is 110mm rather than 120mm. I have noticed Dura Ace and Phil do a rear hub this size but that seems to be it and they are impossible to find!! I have been told i can stretch the spacing out to 120 allowing me to fit my current hub... So do I spend shit loads of money on new hubs or do I get my LBS to stretch the frame??? Any advise would be grand!!

  • Scratch that just found a Hub on the bay!!

  • Many thanks!!

  • just cold set it with a fucking massive piece of wood, that's what my 'neighbour' did to her bike. should be fun. might irreparably damage the frame, might be fine.

  • spendspendspendspend.
    that's what I always say...

how do you & the lady fancy some MASH/Pedal type action one evening this week?
Obviously we'll get the 'Selm in too, but you two have the strangest rota issues...

  • PS. How does it feel? And I want pictures. I bet she's a dirty, sexy, slinky wee beasty, all lounging around your apartment like the bicycular piece of trash that she is...

  • I've seen some 110 Dura Ace on ebay recently, I think whoever sells it has loads of NOS. I just got a pair of 120 Dura Ace from them in the US from whoever it was and received them in about 6 days with no extra customs charges.

  • this guy sometimes has them, also apparently shimano has stopped making 110's.....but you can get a conversion kit for about £20 for turning a 120 into a 110.
