Yup, you're right, both Holloway and Cavendish have them in stock, £38 each... hmmm... bit expensive though at the mo, was idealy looking for some second hand ones! Any offers?
-
• #6
£38, is that machined/anodized? they're £35 un-anodized/un-machined from BLB.
well its 6 quid less...
-
• #7
could've done some black ones a couple weeks back, but i built them up for myself :P
why not put crap wheels on the crap frame, instead of forking over close to £150+ for a built up deep-v wheelset?
-
• #8
Er, you can't exactly talk Mr dogs "My hammerite-touched-up POLO BIKE has deep v's" balls. ;)

Aren't deep v's 'blingin it up'? Or is that what the Rat's ride!!! ;-)
You could always paint it yourself!...for now?
File down the braze-ons, bit of sandpaper or paint stripper.
Can of undercoat and a good can of paint...or two.Sweet!

Oi!! Its a maaaarrrrrvelous frame, well, its ok, its a start and only cost me £20 in the end, but this is why i want some second hand wheels, am trying to keep the price down.... that, and the fact that i'm vain and want fancy mothers!
-

Thought about grinding off the cable guides etc then sending it to a sprayshop near my bro's in thetford, they said they would strip and powder it for £35!! But, i dunno, i kinda like the rugged look of it now.... when i'm more flush in the new year i'm going to build up a nicer one with a proper track frame, i just wanted to keep myself busy over xmas..... i know its blingin it but hey, it would look cool no?!

I like the old Viscount patina so why not stick with it and get the paint job when spring arrives.
-
• #23
How much they say they'd build them up for you for?
Buy them from the U.S and demand they state 'gift' on parcel. Should avoid customs...

These guys are great (and fast). I've avoided customs with them. Don't know what their shipping cost for these is but might be a decent deal. Lockring and sprockets inc. Could be cheaper than UK?

Thanks Todd, maybe Santa (my girlfriend, or mum!), will be kind to me and buy me a set!
They havent given me a price yet, i'll have to call them again, just thought i'd see if anyone here could help first.
Afternoon, so, I bought the Viscount (pic below) off the chap in Dulwich and on reflection, i'm not gonna respray and bling it up, i've decided to turn it into a nice 'rat look' hack and just have a larf on it.
I need a few pieces (which i can't find on fleabay), so thought i'd see if you guys/gals could help!
So, anyone got a pair of Orange Velocity Deep v's they wanna flog? (pref with hubs but no worries if not)
Here's the old girl... you can see why i want the orange now....
