Naturally I was slightly pissed off. There was a guy cleaning ice off his car windscreen who said I was the third cyclist to stack it on the same patch of road in five mins. Smug fucker.

Everthing was a sheet of ice around Crouch End and will be today probably too. I pushed my bike (nearly fell over walking though about three times :-)) to the main road, stayed in the melted wet area created by the cars' tyres' movement, and stayed there, and was fine. Let's see what happens this morning :-)

there was some cloud last night so its less likely to be frosty........it didn't look so bad out the window.

i remember during my first winter here, one morning i was riding down the hill on the way to work, just behind my place, bit of speed as usual, go to to turn, then next hing i know i was sliding on the road for about 10m. nothing hurt, except my pride. now i'm super dooper careful when icey.

Agreed I was riding home about 1 am on thursday morning and it was worse then plus v. foggy.

it's meant to be warmer and wetter next week, but don't get excited, this year it snowed around Feb 9th

another two or three months of this before it gets warmer again

If it is winter it is better cold.
