cheap ones unless you're a weight weenie
just look at chain reaction cycles massive range, just think about how much rise you want, they can differ alot
or go all out and get jump bars - thats what all the cool people ride or so i have heard

I cut down some Easton bars and they're great, think Decathlon do some cheapies tho'... Probably just as good...

No you must bye fixed gear riser bars. The use of mbt rises could result in terrible things happening.

The Fixed Gear London biys do a set fo £20, powdercoated in Black, orange or white - nice

Halfords do some silver (not chrome, silver) ones for £8 or so. I think that Decathlon do some chrome jobs for about the same price.

cheap ones from CRC are usually good.
FSA ones are good. Bear in mind most of them are actually made in the same factory and different logos added.
I use a set of Dialled Bikes PabloEsco bars. Jump bike bars are likely to be heavy and overkill to be honest.

Cheers! Went for Easton's @ £30 which the lad in Evans very kindly cut down and did a good job as well. Promptly got the nicely finished shiny new bars home and lopped off another couple of inches either side. Badly with a bar edge that now looks like something has chewed on it. Pretty pleased tho but its the first change i have made on this hunk of shit i ride that is aesthetic and should have really put the cash toward new chainset/bottom bracket....Next time dam it...

File off the ends nicely. You do not want the badly cut off end of a bar impaling it's self on you.
A worried bystander

Im looking for a riser bar with alot of rise, has to be plain steel or alloy/aluminium
and 25.4mm clamp size.
I was looking at the steel polo riser from freshtripe, nice and cheap.
there is also the nitto riser, which Is a nicer bar.
would anyone be able to tell me which one out of the two has the higher rise? or just tell me a different bar with a higher rise?
thanks -

my dilemma is I want to get the 58degree deep nitto njs pro stem with a riser bar
this would allow me to have the same upright riding position as my current non deep cinelli quill stem and flat bar.
one problem, ive recently raised the stem by just under an inch which gives a much more comfortable position, I like the look of the pro njs stem but I would have to run it fairly high which might look a bit strange.
I know the obvious solution would be to get a standard stem but I want the nitto!
thoughts? I thought about spacing out my headset a bit.. this could work.
cheers!
Currently sporting very narrow chopped/butchered flat bars and am after a pair of very narrow riser bars for a bit of a change. Is it a matter of finding and butchering a set of mountain bike bars if so any recommendations?
