Yeh sorry that was a bit insensitive. I guess the clue's in the title.
No to a bike ride, I'm going to be sitting it out with the rellys arguing.

Fabiano Swearenger ...or Xmas with your family?
Can't afford to go home this year.
I have plans with friends for later in the day but thought I'd pimp the idea of a ride for the late morning/early afternoon. -

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, and the very next day...
WTF.
What I was trying to say before I burst out in song was that last year I rode over to a mate's for Christmas day. Kew Bridge to the other side of Leyton. It was great, there was virtually no-one on the streets and you could blast along pretty much unconcerned by anything.
Really baffling though was that there were people wondering around Oxford St at 8am window shopping. Quite a few people too. Does consumerism ever stop?

there's still a fukin car or two in the background..
it's never deserted, even on december the 25th
but at least the roads will be clear of HGV and delivery vans, and the school-run -

Usually comes up on the critical mass london list
What's the bets that the streets will be deserted on 25th December.
Sounds like an ideal day for a ride?
