looks like specialized have brought out a new steel frame

from the out of proportion graphic on the downtube i reckon it's someone with spesh fetish who stuck them on a steel frame... that thing can't be a spesh.

Why not? I had a lugged steel Spesh Sirrus from the early 90's. Though i'm not sure they did track frames in steel. I may be very worng though.

I'm sure it's older rather than a new design though.

I'm sure it's just someone with a spare spesh decal set that wants to mess with the heads of the fixedbikepolice..

That brake lever is dangerous...

I hate specialized graphics, I think the designers at specialized should all be fired. Some people must like them though, and this guy seems to be one of these people.

I think you're right. There were (a few) Specialized track frames built in the 90s. Pretty sure they were built by somene else and rebadged. I also once had a Specialized branded deep drop quill track stem that was made by SR.

anyone know what bars those are?

They look a bit like Easton track bars but I'm certainly no expert on bars not involving a chocolate coating.

3Rensho actually built a few Specialized road frames in the early to mid-80s. Seriously. Perhaps they put together some track frames too?
