They are cheap but probably fine if you treat them well. Make sure you buy a good quality cog and lockring to go with them and secure both on really tight. That will make a big difference.

if you search the forum for 'Formula' / 'system-ex' / 'IRO' / 'Ambrosio' hubs I believe SJS hubs are from the same factory with slightly different FLANGE machining.

I have these and had no troubles so far. These are the two for £40 right? Got them built up on some black CXP33 rims.
They look like this in use. If you want close up shots I can do them at the weekend.

I have some too, they've been no trouble so far, and the axles are hollow but I wouldn't see that as a risk unless you're really heavy.
The finishing on one of the left handed threads was a little rough, so take care to clean them up with a small needle file if you have a problem.
I bought mine during the postal strike and SJS were spot on answering questions about delivery.

pics as promised. Bit more detail than the pics on the SJS site.
Got 135mm spacing on my frame so had to space the nuts out with some washers.
does anyone use these? thinking about getting some for the new wheel build. just wondering what they are like? the front axle is hollow. Is that a good or bad thing?
