  • Anyone out there a plumber/central heating engineer?

Or has anyone used a good one lately?

There's work to be done in Kowalski Towers, N19.

  • I might be able to solve any basic problems, I am not a plumber, but I put in all the plumbing in my flat and learnt all the basics.

What seems to be the problem ?

  • I am/was a plumber

but we don't go north of the river!

any online advice/fault diagnosis is free.

although if you want a system installed, try the FMB or CORGI websites, get someone in your area.

chose the bloke that doesn't slag off other people's work, turns up on time, and isn't morbidly obese.

  • RPM I am/was a plumber

What is the online version of sucking in vast amounts of air prior to giving your quote ?

  • you can't see it, same as the sign I'm giving you, right now.

  • RPM requires a tether to the ground before giving a quote, as the vast intake of air causes him to inflate

  • I don't do quotes.

    that's a silly idea.

  • RPM you can't see it, same as the sign I'm giving you, right now.

    No, you are right.

  • I preferred it when you changed your name to a dot and went off in a sulk, because you didn't like what people said about plastic wheels.

  • did ya!... ha!

  • RPM I don't do quotes.

    that's a silly idea.

I've heard you quote Derek and Clive....

  • willski [quote]RPM I don't do quotes.

He had to stand up for what he stood for, didn't he.

  • I wasn't going to take no reply for an answer...

Hmmm . . . you rather missed the point it seems.

  • the point being?

  • RPM the point being?

Go read the thread if it makes you happy.

  • go fuck off, that'd make me happy

  • RPM go fuck off, that'd make me happy

    Wow !

Someone got up in a bad mood this morning !

If you want to re-visit my sulk, go knock yourself out, but please don't try and drag me back into that whole sorry mess.

Cheer up, no hard feelings. :) (not quite sure what I have done to annoy you so much !?)

  • I want to read this anger! Where is it?

  • Jake I want to read this anger! Where is it?

Jeez, it's like Chinese whispers in here ! :)

The posts by '.' (just a dot in the name field) are by me before I changed my name, enjoy yourself !!! :)

  • Can anyone help or recommend someone who can with sorting out the pressure in my boiler system, it's not making any hot water! and i can't seem to locate the filling loop on this one. It's an Ideal Mini S24 incase anyone is familiar.

    Thanks

  • Where are you?

  • What is the pressure on the gauge and you are meant to remove the filling loop onde it is up to pressure.

  • Rocksteady, if the filling loop is not on or near the boiler, follow your pipes down until you find it. It may be hidden nicely behind units. Mine, for example, is behind my washing machine which is directly below the boiler. I have to shift the washing machine each time I need to re-pressurize (the boiler), which is a right pain.

  • Some boilers have an integral loop, but I don't think yours does. Pistolero's right, they might have put the loop in somewhere they thought would be more convenient to get at, which could be away from the boiler. Gimme a shout if you need a hand.
