Might have a pair of Pearl Izumi MTB shoes - size 8.
Think if I still have them that the shoe plate has damaged threads. Will have a look tonight.

Provided Mack doesn't want them (As he weas asking for size 9s) I'd love them.
I've got the necessary metal plates, it's just the stiff drilled sole that I need for my etnies conversion. -

Thanks for the offer photoben but I am not going to butcher a pair of shoes with plenty of miles in them, that is a bit wasteful.
Thanks again. -
• #21
photoben- what cleats are they running/ can they run?
-
• #22
They look like they will take any MTB cleat, buy them, great deal methinks.

I have been tempted to do a conversion but never really sure where to start, whats the method?
Do the softer uppers give enough support for braking? -

atomic.a I have been tempted to do a conversion but never really sure where to start, whats the method?
Do the softer uppers give enough support for braking?Just tie your shoe laces reeel tight, I haven't had any problems with my Etinies.
Has anyone out there got any crappy old cycle shoes that they don't want?
I need a pair (or two)in size UK9-US10-EU43.
I want to make some more conversions but where I have heaps of crappy old skate shoes I don't have any more cycling shoes.
Buy you a beer/trade/something for your troubles.
Thank you.
