£100 Evans vouchers: what to buy?

Posted on
  • I've just won a competition at work and some kind but misguided person has given me £100 of Evans vouchers. Whilst £100 to spunk on my fixie is a godsend, I've had a brief look on the Evans website and their selection of track stuff is limited to err...nothing.

Things I'd like/want are: some track bars, a cool BMX brake, new bar tape (Brooks), maybe a new wheel (Velocity/DT Swiss/Ambrosio rims/nice hubs). Anyone have any suggestions on how best to spend my vouchers / get the stuff I want?

I fully expect serious and stupid answers. Bring em on.

  • Buy a patch, take the change to the pub.

    Wait for a sale.

  • hang around outside evans on saturday and give it to someone for £95

  • a spare lockring... ;o)

  • Some tools?

    Cloths?

Can they order in go and ask they can only say no, otherwise ^.

  • Speak to the Evans Special orders guy, his name's Ben (evanssupport@evanscycles.com)... He's a bit useless but he'll probably be able to source some track stuff for ya... Be prepared to wait for an eternity tho', I waited 3 weeks for some 36h CXP33s... *Never *again...

  • like someone said...sell your voucher outside Evans for 95 quid....then go to the bookies and put it all on a horse......you should triple that money(its a gamble!).....take a trip down to peckham and pick up some kind of assault rifle...preferably an ak-47......go back to Evans and shoot everyone in there.that way you can have what you want!

What is a ***cool ***bmx brake?

  • ohhhh

  • Aidan, why sell it at a reduced price? Given the inference that its only numpties that shop there, I could raise the prices and make even MORE money.

Hell, I could give up the dayjob and run that mo' fo' - I could be Evans franchiser of the year! The fame, the accolades, the sales conference in Swindon...

  • But then the next guy with a voucher walks in and guns you down.. you lose..
(just like the football and rugby teams and F1 drivers - that's for bringing up rubguy at Catford :P)

ahh i think your right mate....i obviously havent thought this trough...

  • what did you think of that trough?

  • Ma3k's an Evansenger.

    Have a word with him.

  • wayne_f14 what did you think of that trough?

Not sure I like the wheels on it. They appear to only be on one side and are made of granite, I can't imagine it goes very fast at all, and even then only in circles.

  • wayne_f14

    Is that Victor Meldrew?

    god help u then :P :)

  • Go into BLB and ask if they'll accept your vouchers.....

  • If you speak to the right person evans staff can order just as much fixed wheel stuff than BLB and Cavendish.......

  • @ Dave H - pray tell me more. Do you have contacts??
