God knows what I have...
It is a Stronglight 80 crankset... Anyone know what the BCD is?

BCD will be either 110 or 130mm?
Measure the distance between 2 adjacent chainring bolt holes and use the chart near the top here: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_bo-z.html
I folded a chainring once.. it was steel so i bent it back and rode home slowly. Tighten up + check your chainring bolts! -

Snap! The very same happened to me the other week! I've been off it ever since..

No can do... the chainring actually sheared in two places.
Basically I am a fcuking idiot. Bought a stronglinght crankset on ebay, thinking it would be all right...
It turned out to be a Stronglight 80... The spider is tiny: from what I can see on t'internet the BCD is 86mm.
No wonder it sheared.

mate of mine was using the stronglight 80 - one chainring held up for about a year (surprisingly) but the second one only about three weeks. that spider is crazy small. condor advised him not to skid cos they are so weak.
anyway, i just gave him my only spare chainset so can't help ya

I think I will just pick up a cheap RPM set and use that.
It is only for the Pug Beater, after all...

How soon do you need it? I'm gonna be getting some new cranks soon, and will have some Bontrager race cranks + BB going spare.

Cheers PBen...
I have gone back to my RPM-on-the-right-and-random-left-crank combo...
BUT I have a Carlton frame on the way that I want to make something special out of.
When will the cranks be available?
300 yards from my house... after the first skid of the day... Suddenly feel that coasting sensation.
My chain has popped off. Then I look more closely... I had managed to snap my chainring in two places.
That's a new one. Anyone got a crankset on the market?
