An ex collegue of mind who was a cabbie told me the same, how he ever got around london on a bike i dont know as he was at least twenty stone and always had a fag in his hand! None the less he told me the phrase "on yer bike" came derived from that as all cabbies learnt the knowledge on push bikes or mopeds.

Did everyone who rode a bike through summer trade it in for a scooter? Before my cycle commuting was brutally killed off by an evil henchwoman I noticed a shitload of motorbikes and scooters. Scooter riders think they're racing fkn Olympic kierin event or something.. fsckrs cutting ya up and zipping down bus lanes. What do they think they are - cyclists!? :P

haha, na it IS special, fuck doing that!
i caught up with an old mate of mine last week. While talking about other people I have lost touch with, he told me about another old mate who is now a black cab driver, and has always been a keen cyclist.
He did The Knowledge - the 18 month intensive memorising of London's streets ( that they all seem to forget 10 minutes after qualifying) on his bike.
