still on (if the track is dry)
be there for 9 (for induction)
You can either take your own track bike (no brakes, must have drops with grips) or can use one of the bikes down there for free
cost is £3timetable/details here : http://www.vcl.org.uk/calendar/
hope to see you there!

Since I posted this, I've found out m'cars knacked. (head gasket for those that like that kind of thing)
Now bringing up maps to see if I can cycle there, cycle round and cycle home...
How hard are the sessions?

induction is easy
second session can be pretty hard going but you can go to the top of the track and cruise around any time you want to -

Induction is easy.
I rode from there and back from Bow, which is only 18 miles in total, but after the induction I didn't want to kill myself, so sat out endurance. Stompy and Slamm had a good crack at it, though. There's good picture of Le Car after the endurance session somewhere on here - he did the whole thing.
Get involved, it's a lot of fun...

Got back and all I have to say now is OOOWWW.
I thought I wasn't bad on a bike, reasonably fit like...
Did the induction + second session and my thighs were hurting like a goodun by the end.
Today's learning - pick out the fit fella's quickly and don't try to keep up with them....
Can't have been all bad though cos I want to go back now

The biggest thing's getting the induction out of the way because of the early start. Really wanna get down again soon, it's great fun!

It's all blurring into 1.
Had a bright yellow retro stylee top on with "Luck Sprinter" on it.
Probably towards the back of the 2 races...
Was with a couple of mates, 1 very tall with a orange top on?

Good for you!
I only lasted a bit of the second session my first go.
It looked like a good day to get down, but I had to go pick some stuff up from the Post Office while I had the chance.

Was a glorious day, it had to be said. From all I can gather, next week is the last of the season, so get in quick if you fancy it...

I was there today. White Nagasawa. It was actually a pretty good session. There's a VCL mountain bike weekend in Wales this weekend so the really fast guys weren't there. Finishing in the top 5 was actually a possibility ;-)
I think they'll run the sessions as long as they can. I was talking to Al and he was saying that the problem is the bottom banked section. Because it doesn't get the sun at this time of year it takes forever to dry out...
Glad you had a good time.
Am I being a bit of an idiot, I've been looking for details of the starter session for Herne Hill, but can't find nuffink on their 2 sites?
Is it still on (or has it shut for the winter). What time / cost / setup?
