What do you reckon this nickability factor is? I was almost considering something along the fuji line.

"anywhere-I-wouldn't-lock-a-nice-bike-as-I'd-expect-it-to-have-disappeared-by-the-time-I-returned kind of bike"
In that case as old crap mbt single speeded.
Or a vintage colnago, mercian as dogs says.

Maybe I should just finish the Sunday BMX build and start using my old one as said nickable crap bike?

He's jealous coz he sold his beaters and I have one begging for conversion.. :)
Object17 - full bike or are you gonna build something? Why not score some old semi-horiz road frame of 'bay and fix it?
-

This is a one day old idea. I've not thought about logistics/funding etc.
Considering I've got the sunday to finish building and a DMR mountain bike with horizontal slots that's just dying to be made into a ss/fix off roader iot's probably a stupid idea but what the fvck.
I'm torn between buying a cheap piece of shit and making it look even worse or building something from begged/borrowed/rescued parts. HELP ME. I shouldn't be allowed to make decisions.

On my way to chalk farm i noticed that red fixed was STILL outisde mornington crescent tube station. I'd reccomend breaking the lock on that, because obviously its invisible to bike thieves.
On second thoughts, maybe if that bike is stolen the world will end or something... Or maybe it's wired to the mains. Or maybe anyone who touches it is transported to another dimension!

Get this bought ffs!
That said, it's clearly stolen...

That's how they get me hooked though. Buy a bike for (Check ebay for current price....) £4.20
Then it becomes a case of, well I'll just replace the rear wheel and cranks to make it a nice fix...May as well swap the bars out...Repaint the frame maybe...Before you know it I've spent a whole load more money :] -

get a real nice bike and then just paint it badly stick some stickers scratch the rims scuff the saddle tear the bar tape and hey presto a nice hack bike

ed said "hippy you feel like posting that video? :P" referring to the 'harden the fsck up" video I love so much.
My reply was "not really" and a different video. Was trying to find one that had someone say "not really" but lucked out. -

So I'm not just going crazy! That's good to know.
I think it's high time I bought another bike [Not that I don't already have two unfinised projects on the go or anything].
It needs to be cheap as its main use will be as a pub, club, anywhere-I-wouldn't-lock-a-nice-bike-as-I'd-expect-it-to-have-disappeared-by-the-time-I-returned kind of bike.
I'd also likely end up using it in winter when the Monika(Surly) doesn't want to go out in the rain/grit.
What can people recommend?
