  • First commute in 3 weeks yesterday (out of the country, then had a cold / couldn't be arsed). What a joy to see that the onset of dark evenings have sent the fair-weather cyclists into hibernation. It was great to churn along Kennington Park Road without having to dodge the hordes of iPod wearing trundlers.

  • i almost got the tube, but i donned the waterproofs instead.

kings cross to acton and back to the lane of bricks this evening. not really looking fwd to that one.

  • got out early this morning, just had light drizzle the last 10mins. not many cyclists at all.

  • I bottled it... Had the day off last Monday so did a 20 mile ride to Witcomb and back via Canary Wharf in the pouring rain (without proper waterproofs)... Forgot Barrie was shut... What. A. Spanner.
    Didn't fancy a repeat today...

  • I couldn't be bothered this morning.

Looked nasty, so had a bit of a lie in.

  • Hampsted to Canary Wharf - loving it. Though no sure how well the old bottle-mudgard works on my bike ;-)

  • After previous comments on the subject, I also got out early and too was rewarded with 'light drizzle' for last 10 mins. High five DB!

Where do you park up? Saw a black Cannondale track locked up by the tube exit... Yours? Flatmate and I were smokin' rollies and drinkin' coffee outside Carluccio's for an hour or so drying off/waiting for the deluge to stop... :-/

  • On the subject of bottle mudgards, i think the best is a 1.5l evian bottle.

  • Nah, lock it up nr stompy (when he cycles ;-P) under the DLR north side just by the security office. Black IRO, look for the red stem!

    You?

    You?

I don't work up there anymore, used to do the Chelsea-South Quay commute every day... I was on 'red bike' last week, her rims need a good seein' to after that downpour, she's a very dirty girl ...
My IRO only comes out at the weekend, too scared to leave her alone for too long... She's too pretty... ;-)

Did you get your IRO sent over or from Cavendish Cycles?

    You?

Whose is the grey Condor SS?

  • bah the weather never gets that bad in the uk you guys that chicken out over a bit rain need to harden the fuck up!

  • hahaha, harden the fuck up!!

  • Cmon guys you honestly telling me you would rather use the bus or the tube all cos a bit of rain?

That said i do shower and chancge when i get to work!

  • I haven't ridden more than a couple of kay for 5 days.. get me to a hospital!

  • cut 'em loose, damn summer surfers, dead wood.

  • Buses get full of condensation when it rains and the tube just sucks in any weather, both are filled with fetid disease-air.
I know where I would rather be rain or shine.

  • Stompy - don't know. Saw it recently, but was disapointed it wasn't a fix!

I want to know who owns the red Holdsworth by the tube station and the orange Courtney (with red Phil's!) outside Waitrose.

  • They're back!

    All of them at once.

And those nodding yellow-backs seem determined to race everything and everyone.

    Poor sods.

Damn annoying at the lights though, they clog up the inside and you never know what kind of crazy light-jumping trick they'll pull (like, at the very last moment when they've barely got a chance and haven't really scanned what the traffic is doing).

    Nutters the lot of them.

  • Ha! You love it. I've been setting my alarm progressively earlier to get rack space near work. It's now 6:06am... for FUCK'S SAKE!!!

  • You've going down in minute increments?

  • That came out wrong didn't it?

  • As did that.

    I'll get my coat.

  • No.. I'm just odd when it comes to picking alarm times. I hate 6.00 or 6.30. So it went something like: 7:37, 7:17, 7:02, 6:56, 6:44, 6:36, 6:16, 6:06.
