Possibly Tues 5-6pm, but not definite. Latest CATastrophe involved £100 at the vet this morning. They put off sedating him cos he's ancient, but were too scared to search for a possible foreign body that's made his left eye area swell up. Gave him antibiotic jab for diagnosis of possible conjuctival infection, but as of tonight, there's no improvement. So there could be emergency stuff getting in the way of turbo trainer demo. The fact it's called a 'Cyclops' could end up proving cruelly ironic :(

are you doing this on a trainer or rollers? i've been told bringing out the rollers without a fork-holder for 1-2 hours every few days is very effective winter training.

RPM simple solution, don't fucking do it then!
Necessary evil for 2 weeks only. One session complete, and I can already feel the power...the POWER...hahahahahahha!

kilgore_trout are you doing this on a trainer or rollers? i've been told bringing out the rollers without a fork-holder for 1-2 hours every few days is very effective winter training.
Trainer. Rollers are great for rehab after injury, and if it's regularly too cold to get out there and spin a low gear on the road. I'm doing more of a pre-competition priming thing using sprint intervals to get into overdrive. Well, that's the theory :p

As per hippy's link for general info. I've just scribbled down a 45min session on a post-it note that's suited to my events. Only other salient detail worth divulging is that intervals cease the week before the event, in order to 'taper', which is a posh word for 'relax' :)

As sad as it sounds.. I don't mind a bit of group indoor training (cue inuendo).
The Willesden run a session one night a week during winter. It's the only remotely speedy thing I do these days.

Brooks on my bike don't give me an iron penis it gives me no penis I have to get off every now and then and shake it about to get the blood back into it
