I've got a Joe Blow. It does the job and I have no complaints. Hard to know what could go wrong with a track pump.
-

if you get a joe blow get the slightly more expensive one with the lever on the valve connector, I gpt the other one as a present, pump good, valve connector BAD!

joe blow here too, 6 years old and no probs

If you've used as many track pumps as I've borrowed down at HH, they vary wildly!
Some really can't get the 220 psi I require for my tubs, but if you're not riding track that won't be a problem.
The old style ones (think they're made by Silca) with the folding chromed feet, steel body and brass connector always seem the smoothest and most powerful.
Thin, tall barrels equals high pressure, short, fat (sometimes plastic) barrels means quick but less pressure.

Joe Blow, nice yellow one with black logo.

Right, the yellow joe blow looks like the one to go for. Matches the bike too :D
£25.90 inc. delivery from Ribble - anyone know of a better price? Its a shame my £5 off wiggle voucher has expired :/
[edit] £23.99 at Tredz...

Haha, don't type Joe Blow into froogle.
"GANG BANG MY FACE 02 - More nasty blow-bang madness in Jake Malone's newest festival of improbably perverse cocksuckery."
A snip at £22.95 if anyone's interested, like.

My mate bought a specialized one for £25 yesterday. It's alright but once you get up to 100psi it pretty much stops moving. It'll go up to about 110psi and maybe on to 120psi but it'll struggle.

I've had an Edinburgh Bicycle track pump for the last three years. It's a bit more low key than the Joe Blow equivalent, but it does work well. Only twenty-five quid.

I've got a Silca in Oz. They are old skool and great!
I've got a cheap On-One here which cost about £20 and does the job for all my bikes (I don't run 200psi tubs though). -

what about those tiny ones you pull up on? i want one off them

sks rennkompressor got one at home and it works a treat 100 psi easy never tried going above that but i am sure it isn't an issue

I've got a beto with a silver cyclinder and wooden handles. It goes very easily up to 120psi and I like the feel of real wood in my hands over plastic.
cue 'wood' gags.
-

the joe blow does 120psi easy in 5-10 pumps ;)

This month's Cycling Plus has tested a load of track pumps. Can't remember which one they thought was the best. Go into a newsagents and flick through the mag.

Joe Blow is great .......................... for now. The problem with all these things is that by the time something breaks or wears out, the product has been obsolete for 5 years. If you have a Joe Blow, go and buy your spares now while they are still available and tuck them away for that rainy day. Anyone got a leather plunger for my old Silka?

I take it all back. The bloody thing has given up the ghost. I'd get more air into my tubes by puckering up. A replacement valve didn't sort it either. Bollocks. Joe Blow, anyone?

I personally just visit bike shops and use their pumps. Cyclesurgery dont have very good ones as a general rule, couldnt get over 80 psi last time.
-

a few shops i know use a lot of joe blow and specialized pumps and they're pretty good. i had a sefras that pretty much fell apart on me.

Yellow joe blow (metal one with lever by valve) is pretty damn solid.
Highly reccomend it.
Avoid flimsy plastic track pumps. -

I recommend the Joe Blow as well. Awesome pump, it just does what it's meant to do well. Good build quality too, I can see it lasting a long time.
Plenty of discussions about minipumps, but I couldnt find anything about track pumps.
Whats good? I don't want to spend more than £20-£25, but its got to be easy to attach. Its for my presta-valved 23mm tyres, so 120psi minimum rating. Schrader compatibility would be nice, but i guess they all have that.
I hear good things about joe blows, but which one to go for? Or would the cheapie beto's off ebay be ok?
