-

Are they grips or bar tape? Want something similar for my red bike, but in black... BTW Lovely :-)
-
• #6
It's punched fizik white bar tape but just half wrapped and finished with white electrical tape so the chrome nitto bar could be seen in all it's loveliness, nice little nod back to the old pursuit/keirin stylee as well

hope your friend is happy.

what a guess, woohoo!! who da man? go ricky, go ricky!!

it's a lovely bike - but i don't quite get why the tape appears at the bottom of the bars - the bike has a brake, suggesting it won't see much track action, and the owner's hands will not stray far from the tops. so is it purely an aesthetic decision?
it's not the only bike to "nod back to keirin/pursuit stylee":

how dare you make a vulgar comparison like that!! :p

A: 'cos it would be a shame to hide those lovely nitto bars
B: because we're all a bunch of tarts who like things to look good -

that's what i thought - and i agree of course.
i mean, who am i to argue, if it's good enough for the london langster, then it's good enough for anyone.
i shall now verily saunter forth and get me coat.

yeah, use bare metal bars and you get a more direct feel for the handling. sacrifice comfort, but in the city it's alright.

as in, it makes your hands hurt, especially if you're running 100psi+
